Hands on assessment is very important in the initial evaluation process determining the degree of injury or restriction. It is not only part of the initial assessment but an integral part of every treatment session.
What To Expect When You Arrive

- Allow 45 minutes to one hour for initial visit
- Receive a thorough assessment of your limitations and diagnosis
- Receive education and treatment to relieve pain, increase motion, strengthen, and restore normal activities as indicated by your physician and therapist
Specific Services
- Anodyne Therapy - infrared light, used to increase circulation and decrease pain.
- Ultrasound Deep Heat Treatment - breaks down scar tissue and promotes circulation.
- Muscle Energy Techniques - uses patient's own muscle power to decrease muscle tightness and restore mobility.
- Myofascial Release - a manual technique used to improve the mobility of the soft tissue around injured joints or restrictions caused by poor posture or surgical incisions.
- Traction - a mechanical device used to treat the neck and low back by improving the mobility between the vertebrae or decrease the compression on spinal nerves.
- Electrical Stimulation - an electrical current used to help reduce muscle tension, swelling and pain.
- Core Stabilization Training - the use of specific exercise that strengthens the muscles of the abdomen and spine to improve posture and decrease pain.
- Golf Fitness - a custom program of specific exercise that assists in improving a golfers performance and prevents injury.
- Postural Re-Education - involves educating patients regarding their current poor postural habits and re-training the muscles of the abdomen and spine to attain optimal postural alignment.
- Balance Re-Training - often needed for patients after a prolonged period of immobility or with progression of diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s. Activities are designed to challenge the patient’s present level of balance and progress to more advanced activities using foam mats, gym balls and stability discs.

Patient Education and Exercise
Education is the best way to motivate patients to complete their rehabilitation program. Patients must understand their diagnosis and activities, suitable for their recovery. Every patient receives one on one attention during their rehabilitation program. To assure continuity of care the same therapist will follow you from initial visit to discharge.
